The main mantra in the office is~ “WORK HARD, PLAY HARD, AND GIVE BACK AS OFTEN AS POSSIBLE”
GEM Cares is our opportunity to do just that – to utilize our success, our reach and our resources for a variety of charities that are near and dear to all of us – even a group of underpaid, under-appreciated and overworked school teachers!!! Our philanthropy and our giving spirit knows no bounds . . .
Eastern Christian School
GEM was truly touched and overwhelmed by the response we got from Eastern Christian School after showing support ( in the form of a satisfied belly) for the teachers during Teacher Appreciation Week and the students on field day. Thank you for sending the love back, ECES, and for reminding us that little acts of kindness certainly pay off. We feel it big time!
West Bergen Mental Healthcare
GEM was happy to be a part of West Bergen Mental Healthcare’s event “A Fall Night of Fine Dining”. We were so happy to donate and help raise money for a such a great cause. The proceeds will benefit the programs and services of West Bergen including The Center for Children and Youth. The Center provides counseling and psychiatric services for young people 2 – 18 years of age. To date, more than 8,500 youngsters and their families have been helped.
GEM was so happy to be able to give the Epic School a Bretford PowerSync+ Charging Cart as well as 5 Ipad Air 2 Devices. The PowerSync+ Cart™ sets the new standard with ground-breaking features that allow the school to remotely check connected devices, freeing up time for them to focus on other tasks. It also allows the Epic School to store, charge, sync, and transport their Ipad devices to any room in their building, while keeping their content in sync. So glad we could help!
Hackensack Meridian Health
GEM was thrilled to sponsor ‘The Suits’ in the annual Sanzari Charitable Motorcycle Run for HMUC. It was an amazing event that brought a lot of good people together for a fantastic cause. Happy to say that GEM and The Suits raised a lot of money for Hackensack University Medical Center, while having a killer time. Donations to HMUC help to advance clinical research and educate the medical leaders of tomorrow.
American Christian School
GEM was pleased to sponsor the American Christian School’s yearly fundraiser banquet. The American Christian School is committed to graduating students with both strong academics and character that will last a lifetime. We are so happy to help them achieve their vision through continued sponsorship.
The Academy of our Lady of Peace
Just another way to show support for our community, GEM was happy to provide a luncheon for the school, feeding over 150 people. Founded in 1954, The Academy of Our Lady of Peace is a Catholic elementary school serving children in grades Pre-Kindergarten to 8th Grade. Students come from New Providence as well as surrounding communities and parishes of Berkeley Heights, Summit, Mountainside, Chatham and North Plainfield.
Tomorrows Children's Fund
Partnered with Tomorrows Children’s Fund, the outing, now in its 27th year, is a day for all levels of golfers (GEM has its share of hackers!) to play a round and help raise money for many of the incredible things TCF does every day.
The Cooperative Nursery School of Ridgewood
Continuing to stay involved with the local community, GEM utilized our own technology resources to provide the printed programs for the school’s Music Festival in July.
Health Barn USA
Food gifting program, providing nutritious meals for families with children being treated for a variety of serious illnesses. Each month, GEM employees volunteer to help prepare the meals that are distributed to families through Tomorrows Children’s Fun at Hackensack University Medical Center and through Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Program at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Paterson, NJ.
A program near and dear to our hearts. GEM staff volunteers yearly to work with the athletes and make their experience a memorable one. (We may just have more fun than they do!)
In February, Team GEM heads down to the Jersey Shore in the off season to take part in the plunge to raise money for Special Olympics New Jersey. No boardwalk games, no roller coasters, just a dip in the extremely frigid Atlantic!
